Another must thing to prepare the New year dish! That is "osechi" Osechi-ryori are specially-prepared New Year's dishes to be eaten during the first three days of January. Most dishes are cooked in order to be preserved for at least three days so women don't have to cook during that period. Various kinds of beautifully-prepared dishes are set in four-tiered lacquer boxes.
Today I made "Kobumaki" (rolled kelp). This dish represent the happiness in new year! "yorokobu" means happy!
Put moisturized pacific herring on the sea weed! Then, roll it!!
Tie it softly :)
Yeaahhy!! Then simmer with water, sugar, soy source! 1h!
One of the preparation is done!!!
What else do Japanese people do in the end of the year??
Done the things that you wanted to do in 2015!! I wanted to do jogging in thins year so I went jogging :))
It was beautiful to see the home town view during my jogging!
How about you? There still is a time by 2016! Are you ready for welcoming new year?? :))
