How did everyone break through culture barriers during study abroad?
Then let’s take a look at them!
I:Everyone! Had you felt culture shock during abroad? If you had, tell me what was it like?
M: American stereotype, Open minded is just what I imagined! But, I didn’t know how to pay tip.
I: How did you identify where you pay tip? And how much do people pay?
M: In America, it depends region, but usually 10%~20% of payment.
I heard from my friend who had a part time job, she said “For part-time workers, tips are almost all of money they can earn, so its very important. They want customers to pay properly. At restaurants which have table service, you need to pay tips.
G: At Starbucks and fast food restaurant, you don’t have to pay.
M: And America has its own culture which is their own original signs when they pay.
A: Does it mean are there many people use credit cards?
M: It is! Many people don’t bring real cash.
G: And American usually ride on their car to move, so maybe you better to make friends who has their own car. lol Taxi costs high, so I had rode on tram.
A: How about bus?
M,G: By tram! Bus doesn’t come as timetable says.
I How about in New Zealand?
K: New Zealand has night-time bus until 3am.
How surprising night-time bus runs until 3am!
