During study abroad, how do everyone make friends with foreign countries’ people?

Then take a look at them!

I: Let’s start a round-table talk! How do you all make friends?

M: In language school, there are people with a lot of nations. I made exchange student friends by starting conversation like “American is like~”

G: Yes! We enjoyed taking about American stereotypes. I did Japanese language teacher assistant, and then I have a small study group and make friends.

M:Really? I didn’t know even we went to same school. Lol

K:I joined some events and made friends. At first, I made friends though joining watching English news group, and then made friends though sports!

A: In England, I felt emotional walls with British. Because British university students love night clubs, I went there with dormitory and club people, and became friends with them lol

I: Chinese like “Japanese” status itself! Anyway, I joined otaku club and talked with Chinese who like anime, but they know a lot more than me lol

Also, I broke arm during study abroad, but I talked with doctor and became friends!

In daily life, I go to same restaurant frequently, and made friends.

Well.

At first, everybody made effort to make friends.

Then how about a daily life? Is there any culture shock?
